昨年4月の初めての緊急事態宣言から久々に2度目のメッセージです。前回は突然ガラガラになったティー・ワイ・ハーバーのテラスを見て呆然としたことをお伝えしましたが、あれから1年ちょっと、いつもならこの季節は常に満席のテラスが平日に閑散としているのをみて、最近は悔しくなります。

都心では要請を守らず感染対策もしないで客を詰め込む店がある一方で、なぜこのテラスに人がいないのか？　飲食店の営業に対する規制は（難しいのはわかりますが）店舗ごとの環境の違いを考慮せず、モラルをもって要請を守る店ばかりがルールでしばられて安全な環境でも人がおらず、モラルのない店は野放しで安全でない環境に人がいるという状況になっています。

マスクを外すという行為が感染対策上は最大のリスクであって、政府の対策が飲食店に集中するのは理解できるし、時短協力金や雇用調整助成金もかなりの助けになっているのは事実です。ただ、細かいことは言いませんがあまりにも納得いかないことがあまりにも多いと思っています。飲食企業でもありビールメーカーでもあるタイソンズとしては辛い状況ですが、感染者が増加しているもののワクチンの普及で今回が最後の宣言であることを願い、スタッフと社会のためにもう少しのあいだ我慢していきます。

 ティー・ワイ・ハーバーでは入口付近やテラス奥からデッキに抜けたところでビールのテイクアウト販売をしており、食事の前後などにビールが飲める環境をご用意しています。特にテラス奥のデッキは風がよく抜けるので、そこで運河を見ながら飲む一杯は気持ちいいですよ！

また店に座ってビールを楽しめる日が1日も早く来ることを願いつつ、スタッフともども頑張りますので、お酒の飲めない時期も引き続き応援いただければ幸いです。よろしくお願いいたします。

To Our Valued Guests,

This will be my second message to you since the first state of emergency declared by our government last April. I mentioned back then the pure awe and shock we all felt when we would see the terrace of T.Y.HARBOR empty on a business day. A year and few months have gone by and to see the same view on our terrace on a beautiful sunny day fills me with a mixture of frustration, disappointment and sadness.

As we see restaurants not following any protocols or regulations and jam packing guests into a restaurant in the city, I wonder to myself “why aren’t there any guests in our terrace?”. I completely understand why our industry is considered a high risk in a time of a pandemic but also believe that the rule breakers should be taken into consideration rather than making stricter restrictions to those who are already following them.

We understand that wearing a mask is at upmost importance and why our industry is being targeted as well. Furthermore, the government has given our industry some support which honestly has been a tremendous help. However, at the same time, there are many contradictions and unfairness (which I won’t go into details about today) surrounding the state of emergency which we have a hard time swallowing and accepting. These times for TYSONS & COMPANY being a restaurant operator and beer maker, are certainly hard (for everyone). Although the numbers are rising again, vaccinations are slowly yet surely being implemented as they have mentioned that this will be the last time. We will stay strong as a company for our guests, staff and society itself until the state of emergency is uplifted next month.

As we are restricted to sell any alcohol on our premises, we have prepared outdoor kiosks at T.Y.HARBOR so you can grab our beers on the go for takeout. Please enjoy our beer before or after a meal as the scorching summer is coming up!

We pray for the day where we can go back to normal business and have all our guests enjoy their meals and drinks regularly. We appreciate your continued support and patronage. Thank you.
